C. Arlando MitchellWhile being reared in Dallas . TX I started preaching at the age of 16 under the oversight of several well-respected Gospel preachers and church leaders in the Metroplex. I attended Southwestern Christian College in 1989 and 1990 and had to discontinue my education at that time. I continued learning as a ministry apprentice.
I entered Freed-Hardeman University in the fall of 1993 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Bible and a 2nd Bachelor's degree in Social Work in spring and summer 1998 respectively. During that time I continued ministering for the South Parkway Church of Christ in Corinth, MS and traveling as a recruiter for the university as a singer and speaker.
In 1999, I moved back to Dallas and worshiped and worked with the Greenville Ave, Church of Christ in Richardson, TX as the Single's Minister. During this time I also had the distinction to work as a college administrator with Cedar Valley College.
In 2003, I attended Freed-Hardeman in the Graduate School of Education program to work towards a Master's degree in Education. During this time I taught Middle School Science, coached football, and labored again with the congregation in Corinth, MS. I met my wife while conducting a workshop in Los Angelos, and eventually relocated to be closer and work towards our getting married.
I left in spring of 2005 to be the Associate Minister for the Figueroa Church of Christ in Los Angelos, CA. I worked in several areas of ministry and provided pulpit preaching on alternating Sundays. I served in this capacity for 3 years and during that time I married my wife Shalan.
We relocated to Boston, MA to serve and work with the Blue Hill Church of Christ located in Mattapan, MA. We believe there to be not only a tremendous need here for the Gospel, but also tremendous potential in the membership of the Blue Hill congregation.
